My summer so far...

Wow! Summer is flying by. I know I haven't posted anything in a very long time, so be prepared for this to be a very long post with lots of pictures.

First, I do believe I have  giveaway winner to announce. Congratulations Stacey H., you won your very own copy of "The Heart Mender". Email or facebook me your address and I will get it out to you once I receive one of my two copies back. The book was so good that I lent a copy to my boss and my other copy to a guy in my Sunday school class.

Second, I have some other big news to share. I started Weight Watcher's back in May and I have now lost 30 pounds as of last Sunday! Weight Watcher's has changed my life. I love it because I can still have my precious Chick-fil-a every day, which giving up my chick chick would have made any lifestyle change impossible!

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Admittedly I am horrible at taking pictures. Memorial day weekend I was up at y family' cabin in Ellijay, GA and on of my cousins and I drove to the pool on the way back from a girl's lunch out. Two of my other cousins were there with my aunt and when we all got ready to leave the pool, the boys were trying to carry that huge raft up the incline. I had the bright idea to throw the raft on top of my car, so my cousin Erica and I drove around the mountain and back to the cabin with our hands out the window holding on to the raft. My Aunt Linda snapped the picture.

AMANDA'S BABY SHOWER
My cousin Amanda is one of the people I am closest to in the whole world. She and her precious husband are expecting their first baby on September 20th. She was about 25 weeks pregnant in this picture and she looks like she just had a large lunch. She flew into town in early June for her baby shower. It was so good to see her! She and her huband aren't going to find out the sex of the baby. It's making our family crazy!

ERICA'S BIRTHDAY
I have been a serious cake making fool lately. I made four of these cakes in two weeks!

One for a church bake sale... it sold for $30!!!! Another one for the birthday of  girl from church, one for Erica's "friend" birthday party and another as a surprise for my friend Justin Wilson to celebrate his first week of work at his new job. It is homemade chocolate cake with homemade chocolate icing with Kit-Kat bars and M&M's that make it look like a barrel. It's a lot of fun!

For Erica's family birthday party I made this cake:
She kind of wanted a hot pink tractor cake, but decorating Kyle's red tractor cake back in April kind of burnt me out on the tractor cake for a little while.

The birthday girl with her cake. I love baking cakes for others!

MEL AND DOM
This morning we woke up super early and met our old neighbor's for breakfast at Cracker Barrel They moved to Raleigh, NC about two years ago. They were the best neighbor's ever and really became family. They spent the night in Atlanta on their way to see Dom's parents in Mobile, AL and we got to have breakfast this morning with them and their girls.
Melissa, Marli, Me, Jenn and Korin.

The best part is that they are going to stay overnight at our house on their way back to North Carolina! We will get to visit even longer!

I hope that everyone has an amazing weekend. I have to prepare a Sunday school lesson. We are reading "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan as a Sunday school class and it is amazing. As a Sunday school teacher, I am loving this series because it leads to awesome class discussions.

I think we are also going to be doing some serious painting and getting the house together. There is nothing like company from out of town to get you motivated!

Be blessed!
