Well, what do you think of my new blog design? I love the color blue and I love birds, so I think that this is perfect for me! I bought this template from http://www.acornglue.com/. Sharnee does great and inexpensive custom and premade blog designs.
Life was a little rough for me for awhile. My blog is very aptly titled "Obsessed Insanity" because I do live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I usually take the wonder drug Paxil every day, but a few weeks ago I decided that I knew better and went off my medication for about a week and just about drove myself and everyone else up a wall. I've been back on medication for about two weeks now and I am feeling much better.
J.D. and I have joined a new church. We are now Methodist! I love our young adult Sunday school class. We have made some great new friends who I am sure you will meet in future blog posts.
This weekend I plan on uploading some house pictures so you guys can see what we have done recently. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

My most embarrassing moment...
Okay folks, I am going to share my most embarrassing moment ever with you. I'll warn you that some might consider it a little crude, but I am not a crude person.
It was my freshman year of college, spring semester. My first day of class with Dr. Hampton. I believe the class was English History to the year 1260 or something like that. Being that I attended a small college where the average class size was 12, we were going around the room and introducing ourselves and stating why we were attending this college.
My turn came and I said "My name is Lindy and I came to Wesleyan to lead a happy and SEX-FILLED life." Oh yes. I did. What I meant to say was "My name is Lindy and I came to Wesleyan to lead a happy and SUCCESSFUL life."
Dear friends, if only you knew what a prude I was at 18. I guess I still kind of am. Just ask J.D. This memory still makes my skin crawl and my face turn purple with embarrassment!

I'm still here
Wow, it has been about 2 1/2 weeks since I have blogged. An awful lot has been going on in my life lately and I think I have been too overwhelmed to share. I feel like I am at a crossroad in my life and I need to decide which way I am headed. I need your prayers, so please remember me in prayer right now.
P.S. My craft-it-forward peeps, I haven't forgotten about you! I am just trying to decide where to go from here.

How do you motivate a depressed turtle?
Seriously. How do you motivate someone who has no motivation? Zero, zip, zilch, nada, nothing. Honestly I wonder sometimes if this man has a pulse.
Okay, I have a guy who works for me. He's in his sixties and he does maintenance. He is the slowest person ever. He also has some anger management problems.
Case and point: last week this gentleman, we'll call him M.W., was working with J.D. and a gentleman she works with, K.H. At lunchtime, K.H. went to lunch and left his reading glasses on J.D.'s desk. J.D. must have left her office for a moment while M.W. was in there. K.H. came back from lunch and picked up his glasses and said "my glasses are all smudged, M.W. must have licked them!" J.D. insisted that he couldn't have, he wouldn't have done that. They decided to review the camera footage. Would you believe that the camera footage actually shows M.W. picking up K.H.'s glasses and licking them?!?!? A sixty something year old man licking a forty-five year old man's glasses!
M.W. is with me today and I want to use a taser (sp?) on him to get him going. At least I'm not wearing my glasses today :-)

I love me some grits!
I live in Georgia. People in the South love their grits. Stone ground corn is delicious! I think grits were one of the first "solid" foods I ate. It was love at first bite and it hasn't changed in 28 years! Being that I am also from Louisiana, I love shrimp. Combine the two and you have a love affair worth writing home about!
My favorite shrimp and grits recipe comes from Southern Living's February 2008 issue. It's super easy and absolutely delicious!

This was our supper last night and it was so good! Kroger had Georgia wild-caught shrimp on sale for $6.99/lb. Folks, we are having shrimp for dinner tomorrow night! I love wild-caught shrimp so much better than that funky stuff that is farm raised with antibiotics in China. Yuck!
The best thing about this recipe is that it has NO BUTTER, but it tastes like it is horribly bad for you. I'm sure with two different kinds of cheese and such it isn't the healthiest, but it tastes so good you would think it's full fat!
Enjoy!
